ExamOne Introduces Applicant Email Scheduling With Email Reminders

ExamOne is excited to introduce applicant email scheduling to help applicants schedule their paramedical exams even faster. In addition to online scheduling tools and our expedited scheduling process, applicant email scheduling gives your applicants access to all of the tools and information they need:

  • The ability to schedule the paramedical exam real-time at one of ExamOne's locations, the applicant's home or office
  • Once scheduled, your client can add the appointment to their Outlook calendar with one click
  • A link to our web site gives your client tips on how to prepare for the exam
  • The local ExamOne office information is included

Applicant email scheduling can significantly reduce turnaround time because the applicant is conveniently contacted upon order receipt. Your applicant will also receive an email reminder of the appointment 2 days before their scheduled appointment.

Include your applicant's email address on the order to ensure your applicants have access to this fast and convenient scheduling option. Applicant email scheduling is available at no cost to ExamOne clients.

Time for Summer — and Vitamin D

This summer while you are soaking up some sun your body is also naturally producing vitamin D. Vitamin D plays an important role in your overall health — but do you know why?

Your body needs vitamin D to absorb calcium. Calcium keeps your bones and muscles, including your heart, healthy and strong. Vitamin D is a fat-soluble vitamin that is made by the body after exposure to ultraviolet rays from the sun. Vitamin D can also be obtained by taking supplements and from eating certain foods.

People who do not get enough vitamin D throughout life have an increased chance of having thin and brittle bones (osteoporosis) in their later years. Thin and brittle bones break easily and can lead to serious injuries. This is why it is important for you to get enough vitamin D as a child and as an adult. It helps keep your bones strong as you get older and protects against possible breaks.

Your body also uses vitamin D to help your muscles absorb calcium and work well. If your muscles don't get enough calcium, then they can cramp, hurt, or feel weak. You may have long-term (chronic) muscle aches and pains. Getting enough vitamin D helps prevent these problems.

Research suggests that low levels of vitamin D also may be linked to a number of other problems such as high blood pressure, cancer, and heart disease.
