New scoring features help improve efficiencies during the underwriting review

December 12, 2018

We are excited to introduce new scoring features to our ScriptCheck® and QuestCheck™ reports. These enhancements will provide underwriters additional insight to be more efficient during the underwriting process. These updates will be released on January 13, 2019, during our monthly routine maintenance.

ICD scoring now available in QuestCheck summary

You will receive ICD-9 and ICD-10 scores in both the summary and main body sections of your QuestCheck report. Each code is classified as low-medium-high (green-yellow-red) and is scored at the ICD chapter level. The addition of this new score will help underwriters quickly identify risks and obtain more insight into specific diagnoses and procedures for each applicant.

Physician scoring included in ScriptCheck reports

We are also excited to announce a physician specialty score will be included in the ScriptCheck report.  The summary section will reveal high and medium scores, whereas as the provider specialties will display low-medium-high scores. Each of these scores provides underwriters detailed information on specific physician encounters. The new default scoring system for ScriptCheck specialties is identical to the scores in place for QuestCheck.

These new scoring features are available only for accounts currently utilizing our default scoring. Additionally, if you have customized scoring or are using a data feed, this function will need to be activated and will not appear automatically. You may choose to use our default scoring algorithm, or you may select to customize this scoring to fit your underwriting needs.

Like all ScriptCheck and QuestCheck report contents, these scores will be visible in Risk Identifier™, but the new color scores are not a direct input to the Risk Identifier numeric score.
